Some Sirius Karma

You may know already, but we have some great Karma with players we have on the Sirius Fantasy Football show, dating back to last year. Chris Cooley, Adrian Peterson, MJD, Chester Taylor, James Jones, Roddy White, Matt Forte, and the list goes on. Quick heads up n tonight's show we're going to have a pair of lower-end RBs who I kind of like this week anyway, Tim Hightower and Pierre Thomas. Check the site for the interviews on Saturday, but consider this guys because I'm believing in this karma - and their matchups.

Get Brandon Lloyd this week

I'm not able to post here as much during the season, since the whole site is basically my blog, but I want to chime in here once a while. Last week I picked up Brandon Lloyd in four leagues. That's great, but I failed in in three others, purely out of laziness because I was obviously on him. I'm buried on the WW order so I'm screwed in those leagues. I have to say, I've been really, really impressed with Lloyd. He's commanding the ball, making big plays, catching everything in sight, and he's actually looking like THE pickup of the ...

Rotobowl Draft

Just got back from the Rotobowl Draft, and wanted to share my team. Had a nice draft, although I lost focus late. It is a long day. Adam Caplan and Zap from our staff drafted today. We'll get their draft up somewhere soon, and Adam and I decided before the draft to have a little competition to see who scores the most points and keep track of it each week. Here's my draft, PPR league, picked 2nd. Brian Westbrook - Over Peterson in this PPR league. Tony Romo - Just before the draft Zap reminded me how important the QBs were in this ...

We got your injury information right here

Ya know, I'm not sure people are seeing what I'm seeing, but I'm actually taken back at how well our injury updates are rolling here in Week One. Think about how we used to have injury updates for, say Thursday, on Friday afternoon. We now have them Thursday night. And not only that, we have good information, better than you'll find on the internet. I mean, check out this update on the site from about 3pm ET today: >Raven RB Willis McGahee (knee-probable) was able to practice some again Friday and the feeling is that he’s going to start. But a team ...

Another note on this week

We've just now basically closed out the preseason with some key updates today for those who've yet to draft. Online and updated today is: - Rankings, Projections, Cheat sheets - Depth Charts (8/31) - Last-Minute Stock Watch (8/31) - Values & Players to Target - Players to Avoid - Rookie Report - Caplan's Injury Roundup And since we've worked hard over the weekend for those with drafts this weekend and week, we do need some time to break down Week One. Our normal schedule will be in effect next week, and you can see that as well as a complete overview of our site and offerings here: http://www.fantasyguru.com/football/subscribers/articles/2008help.php This week ...

  • Sirius Business: The North Stars (Bengals, Packers, etc.) July 27, 2010
This past Sunday, Matt Camp and I spent a lot of time talking AFC North, with some Packers thrown in. We got a lot of interesting tidbits, so naturally, Sirius Business is back. Will T.O. end up in Cincy? Even if not, the Bengals’ interest in him is telling: Joe Reedy covers the Bengals for the [...] […]

  • Dolan: The Curious Case of Chester Taylor July 16, 2010
I’ll admit it. When the Bears signed Chester Taylor to a four-year, $12.5 million deal way back in March, I was puzzled. Why did Chicago need a RB who did much of the same things as incumbent Matt Forte? Taylor can catch the ball and block in pass protection, but so can Forte. Taylor weighs just shy [...] […]
