When do you switch over to WR?

We got this question recently, and I thought it would make for a good topic today, since all there is to talk about in the NFL these days is Tank Johnson, Trent Green’s scrambled eggs, and that moron Daunte Culpepper’s hearing.

Speaking of Johnson, have you ever seen so much coverage for such an average player? Johnson’s a nice guy to have around, sure, but he’s no superstar, far from it. People ask me how I can still have the Bear D #1 this year with Johnson gone. Yes, I will be moving them if LB Lance Briggs isn’t in the lineup, but let’s not forget that Tommie Harris is the stud DT here, and he’ll be back healthy (as will key S Mike Brown).

Here’s the question: Q: Where’s the “cut-off” in the Second Round when you suggest shifting from RB’s to the top-tier W’s? Many of us have late-round draft slots, and a decision will need to be made as to which RB is “the last one worth taking” before instead taking someone like Holt / S. Smith / C. Johnson. Of course, PPR would have to be considered, but could you possibly address this question?
