FantasyGuru.com Magazine Expert Draft Today

I have another expert league draft today, and it’s for our own magazine. This is the 5th year of the league. The first two years I was the top team entering the playoffs. The third year I was ok as the #2 team in points. Last year, I was middle of the pack. So over the last two years, this has been my worst league.

I’ll be tracking my picks here. The draft starts at 1pm ET. I have the 10th pick, which I like because I’ll definitely get two good backs and I won’t have to make a decision on Peyton Manning late in the 2nd round as I typically do in these leagues when drafting at the top of round one.

My plan in this draft is pretty simple, and I’m already convinved it’s THE plan of action this year.

1. Try to hold off on my QB, although Carson Palmer will be tough to pass up with my 4th pick if he’s still there. I also want to make sure I get a very good one who is almost assured to have a good year. Otherwise, I’ll have to wait longer and target Jon Kitna or even longer for Jay Cutler.
