Alright, here are a few of your Barber’s snap judgement reactions as the Draft is unfolding.

* The big story from the dynasty perspective is unquestionably Marshawn Lynch going to Buffalo after the Vikings tabbed Adrian Peterson. The owners of the 1.01 rookie picks are now faced with a dilema. Do you draft the better talent in a less attractive situation (Peterson) or a potentially lesser back in seemingly much more attractive spot (Lynch)? Regardless of your viewpoint, the holders of the 1.01, 1.02 and 1.03 could now all see their projected targets shift dramatically.

* In the short term, the stock of Adrian Peterson has taken a hit. The Vikings have yet to seriously address their considerable aerial deficencies which likely means more 8 in the box for Viking RBs. He also has to get through incumbent starter Chester Taylor (will this develope into a Thomas Jones / Cedric Benson situation?) and Peterson has his own lingering health questions. I’m not sure how many of you good people have the NFL Sunday Ticket, but I’m here to tell you the DirectTV moguls have become increasingly hostile toward it’s subscribers and I have to vent.

I’ve been a subscriber since Year Two (1995) and had the NFL Channel as part of my yearly, Sunday Ticket ala carte subscription. In fact, I bought my dish solely to watch the games. Well, this morning the NFL Network is gone and I’m told it won’t come back until the games kick-off in September.

This is latest tactic of the DirectTV jackboots at stong-arming the fans of the NFL into buying one of their bogus packages of “wonderful programming” at the low, low base price of $49.95. But the REAL kicker is, if I agree to buy a package they’ll never allow me to go back to the Sunday Ticket as an ala carte item.   Total BS.

But this is nothing new to you more recent purchasers of the Sunday Ticket. They’ve never given you the option to take the Ticket as an ala carte item. They’re holding you hostage at $50 a month, [...]
