Fantasy Guru Daily: 7/11/11

When plotting out this upcoming week, I knew I would be writing the Guru Daily today. I vowed to stay away from the labor situation, because the media (including us) has overreacted to every up and down, thanks to a dearth of anything else to report on. But we start Monday with some optimism, including a potential calendar for the start of the 2011 league year.

Deal is potentially on the horizon… Yeah, we’ve been hearing this week is huge for a while so it shouldn’t come as a total surprise, but there is apparently real optimism around the NFL that a framework CBA could be in place and voted on by the time the owners meet in Atlanta on July 21, as reported by ESPN. What’s funny is that it appears the rookie wage scale, essentially a slotting system to prevent deals like JaMarcus Russell’s from ever happening again, has become the major point of contention between the two sides. • Week 7 story lines October 17, 2014
Here are all the story lines I’m following for fantasy in Week Seven.  N.Y. Jets (1-5) at New England (4-2)  Who will carry the load at RB for the Patriots? You’d have to think this week it will be Brandon Bolden, since James White is inactive and Jonas Gray was just signed off the practice squad today and is active. Can Bandon LaFell keep it up and emerge a […]

Here are the top stories I’ll be following this week in the NFL… Indianapolis (3-2) at Houston (3-2) Can the Colts maintain their high level of play with 2 starters on the OL out tonight? Can Trent Richardson bounce back from a poor game last week against a tough Raven defense? Can Dwayne Allen score yet again and remain a huge factor? He’s being moved all o […]

Here are 88 story lines I’ll be following in Week 5 . Minnesota (2-2) at Green Bay (2-2) Will the Vikings continue to play like they did last week? It wasn’t a typical Norv Turner offense, more like Seattle’s with Russell Wilson. Teddy Bridgewater was smart about not exposing himself to hits, but he did get banged up in only one start and he might miss the g […]
