It is a light day in terms of news, especially coming from the Super Bowl teams, but we still have a few stories of note to look at from around the league.

Fisher, Titans Part Ways… In somewhat of a surprising development, Jeff Fisher will not return as the head coach of the Tennessee Titans in 2011. Fisher’s future with the team appeared to be safe when just last month owner Bud Adams decided to kept Fisher over much-maligned QB Vince Young, although at the time he did say evaluations of the staff would continue.

Jeff Fisher had been with the team since 1994, when they were still known as the Houston Oilers.

According to multiple reports, the team and Fisher butted heads on more than a few issues recently, which apparently led to the team and Fisher deciding to part ways. Both the team and Fisher put out statements expressing disappointment with the decision, but were both appreciative of the other’s efforts.
