Fantasy Guru Daily: 7/14/11

There is no labor deal yet. We think there will be one soon. The two sides are meeting again today. Yesterday probably could have been better, but it could have been worse. That is all we will mention about this situation.

Randy Moss not happy with the way 2010 went down… WR Randy Moss’ agent, Joel Segal, was doing his job this week and is talking up his client, who had the worst year of his roller-coaster career in 2010. “He is determined, motivated and quite frankly has a huge chip on his shoulder,” Segal said. Of course, we’d think representatives from the Vikings and Titans would disagree from the start, as Moss made just a handful of catches after being traded to Minnesota early in the 2010 season. Segal, then, has his work cut out for him to secure Moss a job once the open market is, well… opened. In his 30s, Moss is probably going to want to play with a contender, but is any contender going to be willing to take the risk that he’s a total dud like last year? The Jets would seem like a solid fit if they don’t re-sign Braylon Edwards, and we figure [...]

  • 12-team PPR IDP Mock Draft results June 4, 2015
I have been buried since the NFL draft doing our post-draft work, 2015 projections, and more, so I didn’t get a chance to post a draft I participated in for most of May (slow draft). It’s for Athlon Sports’ fantasy magazine, so I can’t publish the entire draft. But here’s my team. This league stars 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 Flex, 1 TE, 1 PK, 1 DT, 1 DL, 1 LB, 1 […]

  • First draft of the 2015 season April 14, 2015
Although it is disgustingly early for a 2015 fantasy football draft for most, we are closing in on the time of the year when a draft is at least viable. Free agency is basically over, so all we have to wait for now is the draft. I’ve also been intrigued with what our friends at myfantasyleague.com have been doing with their MFL10s. It’s a great idea for the […]

  • Week 17 storylines December 26, 2014
Here are the top stories I’m following for Week 17 Cleveland (7-8) at Baltimore (9-6) Brown QB situation. Brian Hoyer (right shoulder/biceps) did not practice Friday. Rookie Connor Shaw is set to start for them at Baltimore. Do they give Terrance West any snaps to evaluate him? He played 0 snaps last week. Does Josh Gordon do anything to leave us something t […]
