Cosell’s Coaching Tape: 9/21/09 Notes

COWBOYS OFFENSE V. GIANTS DEFENSE

v Witten used as a movable chess piece in the Cowboys offense

v LB Boley tendency to overpursue, and abandon his gap responsibility in the run game

v Johnson was the Giants nickel corner in this game, He aligned outside with Thomas moving inside to his normal slot position

v Romo read Johnson’s interception return for a TD as “2 man” when it was zone

v Cowboys again managed Romo with personnel and formations, They have clearly decided Romo is a complementary QB
