Thoughts For the Week (7/27-8/2)

Each week, I’ll start with my thoughts of the week on various
issues/topics:

Sirius Fantasy Football/Radio Stuff

- We’re starting up again this Friday though the first week of the NFL playoffs.
The show is live 8-11 PM ET on channel 124, replay is 5-8 AM ET on Saturday.

- We know many of you have complained about the replay time (I’ve read the
emails and message board posts.) A few years back, the show was also replayed on
channel 123 I believe, but that’s now Mad Dog Radio. We’ll bring up
getting a replay on another channel and/or a better time to management, soon.

- Greg Cosell, from NFL Films, will be a weekly guest as he has
been for the past three years. This goes without saying for anyone who has heard
him before, but I don’t believe there has been a time that I didn’t learn
something from him. Anyone who read his film blog for us or heard the weekly
podcasts last year should know a lot more about the NFL and how schemes and
plays are developed after listening to him. He won’t be on this Friday, but
he’ll be on every show the rest of the way. He will be the only weekly guest

  • Week 16 storylines December 19, 2014
Here are the top stories that I will be following in Week 16 for fantasy. Philadelphia (9-5) at Washington (3-11) Robert Griffin III did play better last week, but does it mean anything? It’s hard to trust him even against a beatable secondary and a defense that lost a top pass rusher in Trent Cole. If you’re playing in Week 17, can you trust DeSean Jackson, […]

  • Week 15 storylines December 13, 2014
Here are the top stories I’ll be following in Week 15 with some insight on some of them. Pittsburgh (8-5) at Atlanta (5-8) Will Julio Jones play? It’s obviously a huge key for Matt Ryan’s ability to hang with the Steelers in a high-scoring game. Without Jones, they have no explosiveness in the passing game and Ryan will have to dink-and-dunk to Roddy White a […]

  • Week 14 storylines December 6, 2014
Here are all the storylines that I will be following in Week 14 along with some commentary and information on the matchups. Pittsburgh (7-5) at Cincinnati (8-3-1) Can Ben Roethlisberger play better against a solid secondary that has limited him to only 16.0 points a game against them in his last four games? Is Heath Miller someone we can actually trust in th […]
